Ongoing Studies
Current projects include determining the effects of nutritional supplements and antioxidants with respect to specific conditions, in particular age-related conditions such as maculopathy and retinal disease. Another study is working to determine the role of xanthophylls in cognitive function. The outcome of such studies hold significant hope for providing helpful information and treatment, especially as the American population grows, on average, older, and thus age-related illness and disease becomes more prevalent.
